This commenter is just understandably misled by the UK media's decades-long smear campaign. He is absolutely not "a huge supporter of Putin and russian genocidal imperialism as well", if you take a look at his history of words and actions.

How is he not a supporter of Russian gencidal imperialism? He openly supports the annexation of Crimea (and by extension the prosecution of Ukrainian speakers and Crimean Tartars in occupied territories). He is also huge supporter of russian propaganda resources.

I am more aware of his tankie foreign policy views (I am not from the UK), but based on discussions with friends who do live there, his economic policies are also uninspired (nationalizations etc.) even if you are left leaning.
