      Yeah, America is in the midst of a fascist coup .... the question is not if or when it is happening (it's already started) .... the question is when the people will react to it to stop it or let it all just fester and go on until it's way too late to do anything about it all.

        The latter. They think they can still vote their way out of fascism in 2026 and 2028. Until they experience a famine caused by the GOP and oligarchs running the economy into the ground, people are not going to be pissed off enough to do anything of consequence.

            Even if Trump came out tomorrow and say "I am now your dictator. I am going to enslave you all, and if you don't agree, you'll go to a deathcamp where you'll be starved, tortured and worked to death". Americans would still just be a bit pissy, and half the country would still make excuses for him like "It's going to make everything much more efficient". While the other half are whining about not being able to resist, because things could always get worse for them personally.
